Watching Big Boss 14 is detrimental for Mental Health, it is Glorifying Misogyny and Toxic Mentality

( All Pictures Courtesy : Colors )   I want to express my exasperation, discomfort and absolute helplessness as I am addicted to a reality show in India called Big Boss(Indian Version of Big Brother) which is in its 14th season. I expected some light entertainment but the show has slowly become a platform to facilitate toxic mentality, blatant misogyny and woman shaming. I am a victim of the show and as much as I regret watching it, I am unable to cut all ties with it. It is damaging my mental health and I am feeling extremely guilty of not being able to remedy the situation. I shudder at the thought of the existence of the nameless and faceless people working for the production house who are unashamedly targeting a poor woman, only because she refuses to be timid, shy and an under-confident porcelain showpiece which is the terrestrial expectation from her. 10 times Rubina Dilaik proved that she's the boss by Raj Amidst the maddening pressure of work , I started watching Big Boss Season 14 after 7 years ( Yes, the last season I watched was season 7 when Gauhar Khan won) and from the first week itself , I was drawn to Rubina Dilaik who came across as a firm, attractive and resilient woman whom everyone is weary of as she threatens male supremacy and I am writing this as a man who has 3 very self sufficient and confident sisters who have often been subjected to criticism from both male/female members of the society who find them intimidating, bossy and unwomanly. So, I instantly connected with Rubina who defies the societal norms and is unapologetically steadfast and commanding as any man would. I had no idea who she was before the show as I don't watch Tv Serials, so for ...

A victim of the vicious PR Machinery prevalent in Bollywood  So, I am back to blogging after 10 years with my wannabe writing skills. First and foremost, I would like to tell my readers that I am not an Oxford Graduate and my writing is below average but my intentions are not! The death of Sushant Singh Rajput has shaken me, and I could not help but pen down my thoughts. I must admit in the beginning that I am not a fan of Sushant Singh Rajput, I have seen his movies, always thought he is a good actor but never bothered about him. I asked this question to myself, why didn't I? Out of the 9 movies he did, 6 were successful , that’s a good enough ratio considering Ranbir Kapoor is the messiah of Bollywood after churning out countless disasters. I pondered and almost in an eureka moment, ferreted out the tacid game that's played by the paid media with our minds(sponsored by the famous mafia gang & co). Aren’t our minds easily swayed by the nepotistic PR machinery that is p...
